The VaulTrust operating model

Detect. Verify. Recover.

VaulTrust turns a ransomware signal into a controlled recovery decision: observe what changed, verify the restore point, and recover with an audit trail your team can review.

A resilience loop built for scrutiny

Each stage narrows uncertainty before the next action is taken, giving IT leaders and MSPs a clear operating model for a high-consequence incident.

  1. Step 1
    Detect

    Surface ransomware-like behavior early

Autonomous monitoring watches protected workloads through existing in-guest telemetry such as write-rate, entropy, and file-type churn. Heuristic rules surface a likely incident before the human notices.

  2. Step 2
    Verify

Separate a true signal from a normal backup job

ML anomaly scoring helps distinguish ransomware activity from expected backup behavior. The backup-integrity surface checks platform-specific restore-point health, including VMware/Hyper-V metadata and SAN mapping or snapshot-chain probes.

  3. Step 3
    Recover

Restore deliberately from the last clean point

The operator-approved recovery path selects the last clean, immutable WORM snapshot. Quorum and approval controls keep the revert controlled, while RestoreLog audit records keep every decision reviewable.

Make the recovery path reviewable before an incident.
